B.Artise ~ The DesignerThe B.Artise name has been around since 2001 as the moniker for the designer Bridgett Artise. B.Artise designs and produces clothing by reworking Vintage pieces into exciting, new designs. Her designs have sold in boutiques in Soho, Harlem, DC, Ontario, Upstate NY, Miami,and LA.
B.Artise clothing currently sells at: Il Viaggio in Tokyo Japan, The AuthorIn addition to her work as a fashion designer Bridgett has spent the last 5 years building and publicizing the Born Again Vintage brand name. Her book "Born Again Vintage: 25 Ways to Deconstruct, Reinvent and Recycle Your Wardrob" (Crown Publishing, 2008) has been reviewed in over 50 different publications which is unheard of for a book in the craft category.The ProducerOne thing for certain, Bridgett keeps busy. She is the creator and producer of a Fashion Event called Creative Conspiracy. Creative Conspiracy is an event created to bring together independent and emerging designers from the tri-state area as well as small businesses to showcase and introduce their talents and services to the community. The TeacherShe teaches a self-created vintage class for Fashion Institute of Technology. The class focuses on starting and building a vintage business. In it you will see exactly what this entails; from the discovery of vintage clothing, to cleaning and repair, to determining resale value.
